580 young people from across the St Albans, Hertsmere and Dacorum took part in National Citizen Service (NCS) programmes with YC Hertfordshire this summer.

Today (Monday 18th March) is National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day which encourages everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance to adults developing inappropriate relationships with children or children developing inappropriate relationships with other children.

More than 230 Year 10 students at Goffs Academy in Cheshunt had the opportunity to meet with 30 national and local companies from a diverse range of industry sectors as part of a careers event organised by YC Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire County Council’s youth service.

YC Hertfordshire has successfully secured government funding from the Careers and Enterprise Company to work with a cohort of young people from the Gypsy, Roma, Traveller (GRT) community in Hertfordshire. The 20 month contract is commencing in February 2019.
