Over 500 students in Years 11, 12 and 13 had the opportunity to meet face to face with employers at a careers fair held at Francis Combe Academy, Watford on Thursday afternoon, 3rd March. Youth Connexions was pleased to work with the academy in planning the event and in securing the wide range of employers who attended.

Young people who took part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) run by Youth Connexions in East Herts and Broxbourne this February decided to give Ware a spring ‘Clean for the Queen’ as their social action project.

Students in Year 10 had their ambitions sparked by a lively careers morning on Tuesday 9 February at The Sele School. Organised by Youth Connexions, the event included an interactive ‘careers carousel’, CV building and using social media as a job search and professional networking tool.

A group of young people in Three Rivers have created a short awareness film on body image and feeling happy, in order to support Feeling Good Week 2016.

Youth Connexions recently organised a careers event at Highfield School, Letchworth Garden City for some 160 Year 9 students. A number of Sixth Form students also attended to explore their career options.

February 8-12 is national ‘Feeling Good Week’ and aims to improve the health and mental health of young people. Youth Connexions Hertfordshire has been getting set to celebrate the occasion with a range of projects varying from community projects to yoga.
