Quality in Careers Standard

Almost 20 learning providers in Hertfordshire have now signed up to the Quality in Careers Standard, the single national quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) in schools, colleges and work-based learning, with Investor in Careers, showing continued commitment to providing high quality CEIAG provision to young people.
By accessing high quality CEIAG provision, students have greater opportunities to broaden their horizons, raise their aspirations and make the right choices at key transition points.
Schools are “strongly recommended” by the Department for Education in its Statutory Guidance to work towards, achieve, and maintain this national Standard as part of its ‘careers strategy’. The Standard is fully aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks for “Good Career Guidance” and complies with the DfE’s Statutory Guidance.
YC Hertfordshire is the sub licence holder for Investor in Careers in Hertfordshire and supports learning providers with the Quality in Careers Standard. Goffs-Churchgate Academy were assessed for the Quality in Careers Standard through Investor in Careers towards the end of last year and are the first school in Hertfordshire to be Fully meeting all the accreditation criteria, incorporating the Gatsby Benchmarks.
