Volunteering with YC Hertfordshire
Volunteering opportunities - working with groups of young people
YC Hertfordshire is part of Hertfordshire County Council and delivers prevention and early intervention work to young people, aged 11+, through targeted personal and social development opportunities, information, advice and guidance.
This work is undertaken in a variety of ways including: in local communities, schools, colleges, centres, detached/street-based projects, residentials, and also through activities and national programmes such as the DofE Award.
Each local team has a range of projects and programmes that operate throughout the week, mainly after school and evenings.
We provide supervision and ongoing training to all our volunteers. All potential volunteers will be interviewed and are subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring (DBS) check.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please email YC@hertfordshire.gov.uk OR telephone 0300 1237538.
