Employer Mentors

If you could help to inspire young people to achieve their goals, why not consider becoming a mentor with YCH?

The YCH Services for Young People mentoring scheme is open to local employed and self-employed people and is designed to support students across Years 8 to 13 who are at risk of disengaging or underachieving in their studies. Its aim is to give them support and encouragement and inspire them to explore their career options.

All of our mentors receive full training and support. We ask that they give at least one hour of their time every two weeks, for at least six months. The mentoring takes place during the school day at the school.

If you feel that you would like to help young people in your community, mentoring is a brilliant opportunity to inspire and motivate the workforce of the future.

If you are interested in becoming a mentor or you'd like to discuss what's involved, please get in touch by emailing ych.iag@hertfordshire.gov.uk, calling 01438 843610 or by completing this form:
