Looking for work - Supported Employment

Most young people want to do some kind of work in the future

For some people, work is a way of gaining independence, learning new skills, making new friends and feeling more adult. It's also a way of earning money, although not all work is paid.

The Supported Employment Team

Many young people have an ambition to find paid employment. If you're interested in finding work and would like help and support, YC Hertfordshire has a dedicated team of supported employment advisers (SEAs) who work with young people with disabilities and/or learning difficulties aged between16 and 25. The Supported Employment Team work with local employers to support young people into the workplace - arranging work experience placements and supporting, training and coaching young people before and during their employment.
