Support for young people during the coronavirus outbreak
YC Hertfordshire is still supporting the young people of Hertfordshire
YC Hertfordshire Services for Young People face-to-face work is currently suspended following government rules on staying at home in order to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak, but we are still supporting young people in many ways.
Young people can still get information, advice, guidance and support on a wide range of issues via phone and email. Youth Workers and Personal Advisers can help and work with young people one-to-one and in monitored online youth projects with other young people.
We can help with:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Relationships, including family and friendships
- Sexual health, including contraception, STI testing, pregnancy testing and advice
- Jobs and careers
- Training and apprenticeships
- Benefits and finances
- Housing and homelessness
- Alcohol, drugs and substance misuse
- Improving resilience, self-esteem and confidence
- Developing independent living skills
- Having a voice in your community
Online group sessions
We are now delivering many of our youth work projects on line. Click on your district page on the left to see what groups you can join in your area.
