Online youth projects for young people in the Broxbourne district, which includes Waltham Cross, Cheshunt and Hoddesdon

YC Hertfordshire Services for Young People is running the following online group sessions for young people in the Broxbourne district.

If you are a young person and would like to join any of these groups, please call the team on 01992 588220, text 'SUPPORT' to 07860 065173 or email yc.broxbourne@hertfordshire.gov.uk. We will then invite you by sending you a link so you can easily join the session from your phone, tablet or laptop.

If you are a professional or parent/carer and would like to refer a young person to any of these projects please make a referral.

Broxbourne Youth Council

Every Wednesday, 3-4pm

The Broxbourne Youth Council is for young people who want to make a difference in their community, discuss current issues, share ideas and think of ways they can help improve things in their area.

We always welcome new members, so please get in touch if you'd like to join.

For young people aged 11-17.

Emotional Wellbeing Project

Every Monday, 6pm-7pm

Join this project to get help with any challenges and pressures you are facing in your life and discuss how you can look after your own emotional and mental wellbeing.

For young people aged 13-17.

Focus Project for Young People (Aged 13-17) with Learning Disabilities

Every Tuesday, 6.30-7.30pm

Join this project for supportive discussions with youth workers and other young people with learning disabilities in your area. As part of our enjoyable and engaging programme, we discuss relationships, health, emotional wellbeing and developing skills for independent living.

For young people with learning disabilities aged 13-17.

Every Tuesday, 6.30-7.30pm

Join this project for supportive discussions with youth workers and other young people with learning disabilities in your area. As part of our enjoyable and engaging programme, we discuss relationships, health, emotional wellbeing and developing skills for independent living.

For young adults with learning disabilities aged 18-24.

Healthy Relationships Project

Every Wednesday, 6-7pm

Join this project to help you make informed and safe choices about appropriate, safe and healthy relationships. This includes looking at current issues affecting young people, how to recognise what is and is not a healthy relationship, how to develop healthy relationships, how to keep yourself safe online and how to report anything that concerns you about relationships.

For young people aged 13-17.

LGBT+ Project

Every Tuesday, 6.30-7.30pm

This project is a for young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender variant people and those questioning their sexuality in the Broxbourne district.

Join this group for discussions with other young LGBT+ people in the area and to get information and support from YC Hertfordshire youth workers.

For young LGBT+ people aged 13-17.

Supporting You Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience Project

Every Thursday, 4-5pm

If you would like some support with your emotional wellbeing or are struggling with anxiety or low mood, this project is for you!

You will learn techniques to help you look after your emotional and mental wellbeing and develop skills to improve your confidence and self esteem. We will help you through any challenges and pressures you are facing in your life.

For young people aged 13-17.

Waltham Cross Thursday Project

Every Thursday, 3.30pm-4.30pm

Join this project to get involved in discussions about issues that may be affecting your life, such as health and wellbeing, sexual health, relationships, staying safe online, bullying, identity, self-esteem and confidence, education and training or anything else that is bothering you.

For young people aged 13-17.
