YC Hertfordshire provides free sexual health information, support and advice for young people in Hertfordshire.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, we are not able to provide this service through our Access Points, but please give us a call or use our text service to get the help and advice you need (details below).

STI tests

As our Access Points are currently closed, if you are under 18 or from a vulnerable group and need an STI test, please text TEST to 07860 057369

If you are over 18 you can order a test online at SH:24 online support

If you are showing symptoms, please call Sexual Health Hertfordshire on 0300 008 5522.

HIV testing and support

Both HIV and syphilis tests are also available from the national HIV Homes Sampling Service: Free Testing HIV

THT Hertfordshire continues to offer support for people newly diagnosed with HIV and those living with HIV in Hertfordshire.

Emergency contraception

If you need free and confidential emergency contraception (also called the morning after pill), you should seek support by contacting either Sexual Health Hertfordshire, your GP or your local pharmacy or for further information.

If you live in Hertfordshire and are aged 16 or above, you can also order emergency contraception for free and on-line from SH:24.

 
Contraception

The contraceptive pill is now available online for over 18s living in Hertfordshire. Visit SH:24 online support or call 0300 008 5522

If you are under 18 you will need to contact your GP.

LARC (Long-acting reversible contraception, e.g. implants and injections)

Pregnancy testing

As our Access Points are currently closed, you should buy a pregnancy testing kit from a supermarket or pharmacy. If your test comes back positive, please contact your GP or call Sexual Health Hertfordshire on 0300 008 5522. You can also text PREGNANT to 07860 057369.

Condoms

As our Access Points are currently closed, we are unable to provide free condoms. These can be bought from supermarkets and pharmacies.
