Online youth projects for young people in the Welwyn Hatfield area

YC Hertfordshire Services for Young People is running the following online group sessions for young people in the Welwyn Hatfield district.

If you are a young person and would like to join any of these groups, please call the team on 01992 588220, text 'SUPPORT' to 07860 065173 or email yc.welwynhatfield@hertfordshire.gov.uk. We will then invite you by sending you a link so you can easily join the session from your phone, tablet or laptop.

If you are a professional or parent/carer and would like to refer a young person to any of these projects please make a referral.

Autism Project

Every Monday, 6-7pm

The Autism Project is for young people to have supportive discussions with youth workers and other young people who have autism. As part of our enjoyable and engaging programme, we discuss relationships, health, emotional wellbeing and developing skills for independent living.

For young adults with autism aged 13-17.

Emotional Wellbeing Project

Every Tuesday, 4-5pm

Join this project to get help with any challenges and pressures you are facing in your life and discuss how you can look after your own emotional and mental wellbeing.

The sessions are run by supportive YC Hertfordshire youth workers and designed to help boost your self-esteem, confidence and sense of wellbeing.

For young people aged 13-17.

Girls' and Young Women's Group

Every Wednesday, 6-7pm

Join this project for young women in the Welwyn Hatfield area.

The group provides a safe space for young women to explore issues important to young women today, such as aspirations and opportunities, confidence and self-esteem, image and identity, social media, bullying and online safety, sex and relationships.

For young women aged 13-17.

Hatfield Friday Project

Every Friday, 6pm-7pm

Join this project to get involved in discussions about issues that may be affecting your life, such as health and wellbeing, sexual health, relationships, staying safe online, bullying, identity, self-esteem and confidence, education and training or anything else that is bothering you.

For young people aged 13-17.

LGBT+ Project

Every Monday, 7-8pm

This project is a for young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender variant people and those questioning their sexuality in the borough of Welwyn Hatfield.

Join this group for discussions with other young LGBT+ people in the area and to get information and support from YC Hertfordshire youth workers.

For young LGBT+ people aged 13-17.

Project for Young People (Aged 13-17) with Learning Disabilities

Every Thursday, 6pm-7pm

Join this project for supportive discussions with youth workers and other young people with learning disabilities in your area. As part of our enjoyable and engaging programme, we discuss relationships, health, emotional wellbeing and developing skills for independent living.

For young people with learning disabilities aged 13-17.

Supporting You Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience Project

Every Thursday 6-7pm

If you would like some support with your emotional wellbeing or are struggling with anxiety or low mood, this project is for you!

You will learn techniques to help you look after your emotional and mental wellbeing and develop skills to improve your confidence and self-esteem. We will help you through any challenges and pressures you are facing in your life.

For young people aged 13-17.

Welwyn Garden City Youth Forum

Every Monday, 5-6pm

The Welwyn Garden City Youth Forum is for young people who want to make a difference in their community, discuss current issues, share ideas and think of ways they can help improve things in their area.

For young people aged 11-17.
