The YC Hertfordshire Care Leavers' Independent Living Skills Project in Hemel Hempstead is for young people in care or care leavers aged 13-21 who live in the Dacorum area. Come to the Bennetts End Young People's Centre and learn important skills that will help you to live more independently and build your confidence.
Creative Spark is a music and media project for young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities. Run by YC Hetfordshire at the state-of-the-art XC Music and Media Studios, the project enables young people to get involved with creating and recording music, photography, film-making and animation.
Join the Dacorum Youth Council to have your say and make a difference! Learn how to represent yourself and other young people in your area.
The YC Hertfordshire Discovery Transgender Project is open to all young people aged 13-17 who live in the Dacorum district and who identify as transgender, non-binary, gender fluid and/or are questioning their gender. If this is you, come and join us on the last Thursday of every month from 6.45 to 8.45pm. It is a safe space for a social and supportive group.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from, you just need to be aged between 13 and 17 and ready to jump into the best time of your life! The Dacorum DofE project is for young people in the Dacorum district and is held fortnightly on Wednesdays at the Hemel Hempstead Young People’s Centre (see below for dates).
Are you aged 13-17 and want to feel more confident in life? Come along to this YC Hertfordshire Emotional Wellbeing Project at Bennetts End Young People’s Centre every Thursday.
The YC Hertfordshire Friday Night Project is open to all young people aged 13-17. Bennetts End Young People's Centre is a safe space for you to meet new people, develop positive relationships and try out new activities. You can also take part in workshops which develop your skills and confidence, have new experiences and find out about opportunities for young people in your area. Come along and get involved!

The YC Hertfordshire Girls Allowed project at the XC Young People's Centre is a safe place for girls to meet up and have fun. It's open to all young women aged 13-17 in the Dacorum and Hemel Hempstead area, every Tuesday, 7-9pm. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.
The YC Hertfordshire Dacorum Team runs the 'Happy as I am' LGBTQ Project in Hemel Hempstead for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and young people and those questioning their sexuality every Thursday evening. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.
Are you interested in media and photography? Get Into The Frame with YC Hertfordshire! This project is open to young people in the Hemel Hempstead area aged 13-17.
Are you aged 13-17? Do you and your friends spend time in Hemel Hempstead, Kings Langley, Markyate or Tring? Look out for the friendly YC Hertfordshire youth workers on Monday evenings from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. You can chat to the youth workers, get advice and support, also find out what’s happening in your area for young people.
National Citizen Service with YC Hertfordshire is a really exciting opportunity for 16 and 17 year-olds (School Years 11 and 12) during the school holidays. It's a fantastic once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be one of the most exhilarating and rewarding times of your life. National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government-backed programme that helps young people build skills for work, life and their transition into adulthood.
