Bishop's Stortford Friday Night Project

The YC Hertfordshire Friday Night Project at the Bishop's Stortford Young People’s Centre is for young people aged 13-17 who live in the East Herts district of Hertfordshire.

Bishop’s Stortford LGBTQ Project

This LGBTQ project is YC Hertfordshire East Herts Team's project for young adults aged 18-24 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning their sexuality or gender (LGBTQ). Joining the group will enable you to meet other young LGBTQ people in a safe space. You'll find the meetings informative and fun, and the staff supportive to all who attend. We aim to provide a support network and opportunities for young LGBTQ people to socialise and learn new skills. The group meets every Thursday 7pm to 9pm.

Bishop's Stortford Young People's Forum

The YC Hertfordshire Bishop's Stortford Young People's Forum is for young people aged 11-17 in the East Herts area who want to make a difference in their community. You will get the chance to express your ideas, opinions and needs to decision makers, including council staff and community organisations. This is your chance to get your voice heard so please come along and get involved!

Buntingford Project

The YC Hertfordshire Buntingford Project is for young people aged 13 to 17 and takes place on Friday evenings from 6pm to 8pm at the Buntingford Young People's Centre on Baldock Road. Gendered Intelligence Project

The YC Hertfordshire Bishop's Stortford Gendered Intelligence Project is open to all young adults who live, work, or are educated in East Herts and who identify as transgender, non-binary, gender fluid and/or questioning their gender. It is run by YC Hertfordshire to provide a safe space for a social and supportive group. The Bishop's Stortford group meets every 4th Wednesday of the month, alongside the Bishop’s Stortford’s LGBTQ group.

Hertford and Ware Young People’s Forum

The Hertford and Ware Young People’s Forum is for young people aged 11-17 living in and around Hertford and Ware who want to make a difference in their community. You will get the chance to express your ideas, opinions and solutions to decision makers, including council staff and community organisations. This is your chance to get your voice heard and make a difference, so come and get involved!

Hertford Project

If you are aged 13-17 come and get involved in this project at the Zoo Cafe on Ware Road in Hertford every Tuesday and Friday evening. It is a safe space where you can meet new people, develop positive relationships and try out new activities. You can also participate in workshops which develop your skills, knowledge and confidence, and find out about opportunities for your future.

M&M Project for Young People with Learning Disabilities

The YC Hertfordshire M&M Project is for young people aged 13-17 with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It's a safe place where you can make friends, learn new skills, relax and have fun! We meet every Thursday evening 7.30-9.30pm.

Positive Alternatives (+Alt) Project, Bishop's Stortford

Positive Alternatives (+Alt) is a YC Hertfordshire programme for young people who may be at risk of becoming involved in gangs and violent crime. Come to this project at the Bishop's Stortford Young People's Centre in Bishops Stortford and learn how to keep yourself safe and make positive choices for your future.

Pride in Ware LGBTQ Project

The YC Hertfordshire Pride in Ware LGBTQ project is for young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or questioning their sexuality or gender. Joining the group will allow you to meet other LGBTQ young people in a safe space. You'll find the meetings informative and fun and the staff supportive to all who attend. The group meets every Thursday evening in Ware.

Sawbridgeworth Project

The YC Hertfordshire Sawbridgeworth Youth Project is for young people aged 13-17 and takes place every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm. Come along, get involved and meet new friends! The project is a safe space in which to meet new people, develop positive relationships and try out new activities. You can also participate in workshops which develop your skills and knowledge and find out about opportunities for your future.

Sexual Health Outreach Service, Hertford Regional College, Ware Campus

If you have questions about your sexual health and relationships, or want to know how you can keep yourself safe from STIs, come to YC Hertfordshire’s sexual health outreach service at Hertford Regional College. The sexual health sessions are held every other Wednesday from 11.30am until 1.30pm. Drop by and access the support you need.

Street-Based Project, Bishop's Stortford

Are you aged 13-17? Do you and your friends spend time in Bishop’s Stortford town centre or Sworder's Field? Look out for the YC Hertfordshire youth workers on Thursday and Friday evenings. You can chat to the youth workers, get advice and support, and find out what’s happening in your area for young people. You'll also have the opportunity to have your say on local matters that affect you as well as organise activities you and your friends will enjoy.

Street-Based Project at Hartham Common, Hertford

Are you aged 13-17? Do you and your friends spend time in and around Hartham Common in Hertford? Look out for the YC Hertfordshire youth workers on Fridays from 4pm to 6pm. You can chat to them, get advice and support, and find out what’s happening in your area for young people. You'll also have the opportunity to have your say on local matters that affect you as well as organise activities you and your friends will enjoy.

Street-Based Project at King George Park, Ware

Are you aged 13-17? Do you and your friends spend time in and around King George Park in Ware? Look out for the YC Hertfordshire youth workers on Mondays 4pm to 6pm. You can chat to them, get advice and support, and find out what’s happening in your area for young people. You'll also have the opportunity to have your say on local matters that affect you as well as organise activities you and your friends will enjoy.

'Supporting You' Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience Project, Bishop’s Stortford

If you live in the East Herts area and would like some support with your emotional wellbeing or are struggling with anxiety or low-mood, this YC Hertfordshire 'Supporting You' Project could be for you.

Ware Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you are from, you just need to be aged between 13 and 24 and ready to jump into the best time of your life! The Ware DofE sessions are for young people in the East Herts area and are held once every three weeks on Fridays at the Ware Young People’s Centre (see below for dates).

Ware Emotional Wellbeing Project

If you are aged 13-17 and feel you would like support with developing your emotional wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem, or are struggling with anxiety or low mood, the YC Hertfordshire Emotional Wellbeing Project at Ware Young People's Centre could be for you. Join us on Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 8pm and bring about positive changes in your life.

Ware Healthy Relationships Project

Want to be more confident and happier in your relationships? Worried about a relationship going wrong, being or becoming controlling or abusive? Want to find out how and where you can get support? The YC Hertfordshire Healthy Relationships Project at Ware Young People's Centre can help you to make informed, safe choices and to have appropriate, healthy and safe relationships. It is specially designed to enable young women to recognise and develop healthy relationships and keep themselves safe from exploitation.

Aged 13-17? Come to the YC Hertfordshire Ware Project at the Ware Young People's Centre on Tuesdays 5.30pm to 7.30pm. It is a safe space for you to meet new people, develop positive relationships and try out new activities. You can also participate in workshops which develop your skills, experience and confidence, and find out about opportunities for your future. Come along and get involved!

Young Parents and Parents-To-Be

Are you pregnant or a new parent? Are you aged 14-21? If so the YC Hertfordshire Plus One programme for young mums and dads is for you! For young parents and parents-to-be in the East Herts area, this programme is completely free, will help you manage the challenges of being a parent, support you with developing valuable skills and qualities for planning your future, and also being the best possible parent you can be.

Young People in Care Project, Bishop’s Stortford

This YC Hertfordshire Young Poeple in Care Project is for young people in care or care leavers aged 13-17. Come to the YC Hertfordshire Bishop’s Stortford Young People's Centre to learn valuable skills that will help build your confidence in living more independently.
