Herts1125 Who not What
Who not What is a group of young people who have come together to represent the voice of the young Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender and Questioning community of Hertfordshire.
The Herts1125 Who Not What group are looking at services and education available throughout the county and will be conducting regular consultations to hear the views and opinions of young LGBTQ aged 11–25 who live, work or are educated in the county. Who not What will be publishing their findings within the Herts1125 Young People’s Manifesto that has become a key strategic document for the voice of all young people in the county.
It all started with a tweet
From one tweet back in August 2014, a core group of young people from across Hertfordshire have come together to look at what services are available in the county including resources accessible both online and in their localities, how social networking can be better utilised and how education can be improved to better support and inform young people.
In our words...
...Who not What is about us as young LGBTQ; what WE experience, what WE feel would work better, how WE can improve things for the future. It’s not about what adults think; it’s about what WE think.
