Bishop's Stortford Emotional Wellbeing Project
Are you aged 13-17? Do you feel you would like some support with your emotional wellbeing, confidence and self-esteem? Are you struggling with anxiety or low-mood? The YC Hertfordshire Emotional Wellbeing Project at the YC Hertfordshire Bishop’s Stortford Young People’s Centre could be for you. Join us on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm and bring about positive changes in your life.
Bishop's Stortford Young People's Forum
The YC Hertfordshire Bishop's Stortford Young People's Forum is for young people aged 11-17 in the East Herts area who want to make a difference in their community. You will get the chance to express your ideas, opinions and needs to decision makers, including council staff and community organisations. This is your chance to get your voice heard so please come along and get involved!
Gendered Intelligence Project
YC Hertfordshire Bishop's Stortford Gendered Intelligence Project is open to all young people who live, work, or are educated in East Herts and who identify as transgender, non-binary, gender fluid and/or questioning their gender. It is run by YC Hertfordshire to provide a safe space for a social and supportive group. The Bishop's Stortford group meets fortnightly on Wednesdays.
Independent Living Skills Project
The YC Hertfordshire Independent Living Skills programme is for young people in care aged 13-16 or care leavers aged 17-21. Come to the YC Hertfordshire Bishop’s Stortford Young People's Centre to learn valuable skills that will help build your confidence in living more independently.
The YC Hertfordshire Buntingford Youth Project is for young people aged 13 to 17 and takes place on Friday evenings from 6pm to 8pm at the Buntingford Youth Centre on Baldock Road. Come along and take part in a wide range of activities or just chill out with your friends. For full and up-to-date details of what we're up to, check out the youth centre door. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.
Buntingford Young Men’s Project
The YC Hertfordshire Buntingford Young Men’s Project meets every Wednesday evening at Buntingford Young People’s Centre. It’s for young men aged 13-17 who live in Buntingford.
Friday Night Project
The YC Hertfordshire Friday Night Project at the Bishop's Stortford Young People’s Centre is for young people aged 13-17 who live in the East Herts district of Hertfordshire.
Hertford and Ware Young People’s Forum
The Hertford and Ware Young People’s Forum is for young people aged 11-17 living in and around Hertford and Ware who want to make a difference in their community. You will get the chance to express your ideas, opinions and solutions to decision makers, including council staff and community organisations. This is your chance to get your voice heard and make a difference, so come and get involved!
If you are aged 13-17 come and get involved in this project at the Zoo Cafe on Ware Road in Hertford every Tuesday and Friday evening. It is a safe space where you can meet new people, develop positive relationships and try out new activities. You can also participate in workshops which develop your skills, knowledge and confidence, and find out about opportunities for your future.
M&M Project for Young People with Learning Disabilities
The YC Hertfordshire M&M Project is for young people aged 13-17 with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It's a safe place where you can make friends, learn new skills, relax and have fun! We meet every Thursday evening 7.30-9.30pm.
The YC Hertfordshire Sawbridgeworth Youth Project is for young people aged 13-17 every Thursday evening. There are loads of activities for you to get involved with including lots of different sports, arts and music, specialist projects, issue-based work, competitions, trips and opportunities for learning. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.
Street-Based Project, Thorley, Bishop's Stortford
Are you aged 13-17? Do you and your friends spend time in the Thorley area of Bishop’s Stortford? Look out for the YC Hertfordshire youth workers on Friday evenings from 5pm to 7pm. You can chat to the youth workers, get advice and support, and find out what’s happening in your area for young people. You'll also have the opportunity to have your say on local matters that affect you as well as organise activities you and your friends will enjoy.
'Supporting You' Emotional Wellbeing and Resilience Project
If you live in the East Herts area and would like some support with your emotional wellbeing or are struggling with anxiety or low mood, the YC Hertfordshire 'Supporting You' Project at Ware Young People’s Centre on Marsh Lane in Ware could be for you.
Ware Duke of Edinburgh’s Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are, or where you are from, you just need to be aged between 13 and 17 (up to 24 for young people with additional needs), and ready to jump into the best time of your life! The Ware DofE sessions are for young people in the East Herts area and are held once every three weeks on Fridays 6-8pm at the Ware Young People’s Centre (see below for dates).

Ware Healthy Relationships Project
Want to be more confident and happier in your relationships? Worried about a relationship going wrong, being or becoming controlling or abusive? Want to find out how and where you can get support? The YC Hertfordshire Healthy Relationships Project at the Ware Young People's Centre can help you to make informed, safe choices and to have appropriate, healthy and safe relationships. It is specially designed to enable young people to recognise and develop healthy relationships and keep themselves safe from exploitation.
