YC Hertfordshire provides youth work, information, advice, guidance and support to young people aged 13-17 (and offers provision for young people up to 25 with learning difficulties/disabilities).

Exciting opportunities are available for energetic, creative and motivated people to work in youth work projects across most of Hertfordshire to facilitate young people’s personal and social development through engaging and challenging programmes.

YC Hertfordshire is keen to hear from a diverse range of individuals including those with skills in areas such as sports, arts, media, music and outdoor education.

You will need to be available at least two evenings a week (ideally three) including a Friday or Saturday evening. You will be provided with both initial and ongoing training.

Apply online by clicking the link below and searching for youth work. You can register your details and please note you will be required to submit a supporting statement outlining under clear headings how you match the person specification. In your application, please confirm that you can work evenings and which evenings you are available.

For application queries please contact Eileen Brady on 01992 555743 or email

If you are unable to commit to working regular weekly sessions, but are available to work evenings on a periodical basis, or daytime during school holidays, we would still be interested in hearing from you.

Applications will be reviewed as part of an ongoing process.
